More Than 1,000 Ballots Likely <br />Destroyed in NC Congressional Race The District Attorney <br />of Wake County is <br />currently investigating <br />the allegations of voter fraud. The absentee ballots were <br />likely cast by Democratic <br />voters in North Carolina’s <br />9th Congressional District. The DA has had an ongoing <br />investigation into voter fraud <br />in the region since 2016. The GOP candidate, <br />Mark Harris, has an uncertified <br />lead of about 900 votes over <br />Democrat Dan McCready. The race has not been <br />called in favor <br />of either candidate. Voters allege that door to <br />door solicitors collected <br />their ballots, a practice that's<br />illegal under North Carolina law. McCready had conceded <br />the race but reversed <br />his concession on Thursday. Incoming House <br />Majority leader <br />Steny Hoyer said House Democratic Leader <br />Nancy Pelosi said the House <br />could call for a new election <br />if the winner wasn't clear.
